Instructions
Get the geographic location (latitude, longitude) and Google map of that location for:
Your Browser Location
if your Wireless router for your network has a geographic location set
- or –
your mobile device has a GPS which provides the geographic location
Your IP address
the address which you are coming from to browse this site.
An IP address you type in (IPv4)
for example: 234.245.233.221
A Domain name you type in
for example: www.google.com (don’t type “http://”)
Map
You can also just type in latitude, longitude coordinates and get that position indicated on the Google map.
You can zoom in on the Google Map down to the building level to see the exact location.
Note: many of these locations are associated with the host servers for the website, not the company itself. For example, I am located in Missouri, but the website is hosted in Colorado.
This service uses a IP Geolocation web service from IPInfoDB.
