To find Battery Usage
Main Settings…About Phone…Battery…Battery Use
Lists percentage use by different functions (since last charge)
To find Data Usage
Call “*Data#” – this works for AT&T – not sure for other carriers.
Will quickly receive a text message back with Data and Messaging Usage for current billing cycle.
To set GPS on for Camera Geo-tagging
Open menu in Camera…Select Geo-tag Photos
Main Settings…Location…Use GPS Satellites
(Also have Use Wireless Networks selected).
Update: Camera Geo-tagging works poorly. Often images have no geo-tag in them. Other times, images have my home location geo-tagged in them long after I have left home. Additionally when an image is geo-tagged, it is often an incorrect location.
Further update on 2/15/2012: Geo-tagging working much better, pleased with performance in general.
Adding Music (from Windows PC)
Connect to PC with supplied USB cord.
Select “Mount on Disk Drive”.
Create “Music” folder under main directory (this is optional, but there was no Music location on my phone).
Copy music files in Windows to the new “Music” folder on phone (for ITunes – can copy the “Music” folder contents).
Disconnect phone from PC.
